The new Tesla Model 3 has officially launched for pre-orders and already over 252,000 orders have been received. According to CEO Elon Musk the company expected ¼ to ½ of the number of orders it received. They expected maybe 20-30 people would line up at each Tesla store not the hundreds that were there at many locations. Given this massive miscalculation of the level of interest what will this mean in terms of delivery of all these car? It will be interesting to watch and see at this point all of these people have put down $1,000 towards their new Tesla and they’ll just have to wait as the auto maker moves this new model in to production. Musk says owners can expect to take delivery the end of 2017, the car will have a range of 215 miles and have a base price of $35,000. Feedback on the sedan has been extremely positive with people saying the glass roof makes it feel bigger inside and will comfortably hold 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 kids.
