As part of Dream It. Do It., a Connecticut statewide initiative focused on creating a positive awareness of manufacturing careers and conveying what 21st century manufacturing is like, the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc. (CCAT) is opening the doors to its Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) in East Hartford for a public Open House and tours on January 29 from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Visitors to the AMC will see state-of-the-art technology including industrial lasers used for additive manufacturing, metrology and modeling & simulation, structured light scanning used for precision quality inspection and reverse engineering, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and 3- and 5-axis mill and mill/turn machines.
Brooks Associates, Inc. has several Hurco and Sodick machines on loan at CCAT and would encourage members of the community to register for this informative event. More information and registration links are available on the Brooks website at www.brooksmachinery.com
